Excellent black tea developed from two varietals, the Indian origin Benihomare and Makura Cd 86. Making black tea is still not mainstream in Japan, but as it is sweet and fruity without any hint of bitterness, Japanese black tea has a promising future ahead.

The tea is dark amber, and it is sweet and spicy. The aroma is slightly toasty, while the flavor is brilliantly sweet and fruity. The faint sourness of cherries blends with the mellow honey notes, which is both interesting and very delicious.

Unlike Japanese green tea, black tea goes at least 4-5 great steeps, and it is gentle on the forgetful brewer. It doesn't turn bitter at all.

How to prepare

STEP 1) Fill your pot with tea leaves in a 5g/150ml ratio.
STEP 2) Pour 95℃ (203ºF) water on the leaves, and brew for 30 seconds.
STEP 3) Serve. Pour an equal amount of tea into the cups.
STEP 4) Brew again. Increase the steeping time.
