Gabaron tea is tea with a lot of GABA (Gamma Amino Butyric Acid), which is contained little in green tea and black tea. These tea leaves happened to be created after various kinds of research for the effective utilization of second and third brewed tea leaves in Institute of Vegetable and Tea Science.
To produce Gabaron tea, first of all, regular tea leaves are left in an inert gas such as nitrogen gas, helium gas or carbon dioxide gas for several hours after being picked up.
The following process of producing Gabaron tea is the same as Sencha tea (green tea.) Only difference between green tea and Gabaron tea is whether tea leaves are laid in an inert gas or not. This process makes a lot of GABA contained in regular tea leaves. Green tea and black tea which don’t go through this procedure have little GABA. Only tea leaves are used for producing Gabaron tea. Any other ingredients are not added.
It is said that Gabaron tea has effects on not only stabilizing our mind and relaxing us but also reducing body fat. For those reasons, this tea is very popular in the world.
