Japanese tea shows take place in many parts of the country in September. This tea was entered in the 71st Kansai Tea Show and won a prize. Senchas produced in Shiga prefecture ranked first, second, third and fourth in the Sencha contest this year (2018).
The tea that we offer is a sort of Yabukita tea grown by Mr Fujimoto, a tea farmer in Tsuchiyama-cho, Koka city, Shiga prefecture. By the screening standards of Japanese tea, namely, in terms of appearance, aroma, tea liquor color and palatability, it is indeed impeccable.

Many different kinds of teas are currently marketed in the world, but drinking this tea, everyone can see what kind of tea is highly appreciated in Japan’s tea industry. This Ohmi Sencha can be referred to as the appraisal standard of Japanese tea.
