Excellent Gyokuro. This was my first introduction to Gyokuro and it was a great one. I've had several different Gyokuro since and still think this is good stuff. Very thick, very savory, and deliciously vegetal with excellent complexity. It's also pretty unfussy to brew. I would definitely recommend.

This tea is delicate in that it doesn't hit you with a strong slightly astringent feeling as I have experienced in lower quality gyokuro; however, this tea is not weak. Rather, it is complex and full bodied with an especially creamy/thick and sweet first brew. I normally don't eat daifuku with my teas yet I really enjoy eating it with this tea, not out of necessity because this tea has absolutely no hint of astringency, but rather it is a high quality tea that warrants the splurge of a daifuku to accompany it.
