樹齢200年以上の竹で作られた特上の茶杓
こちらの煤竹茶杓は、築100〜200年の伝統家屋の骨組みや屋根材に使われていた竹でできています。 煤竹は、その独特の色からその名前が付けられました。 伝統家屋内の竹材は「囲炉裏」からの煙に絶えず燻られるため、大変美しい赤褐色に変わります。 煤竹茶杓特上は、その中でも最も美しい色味の竹を厳選し、丁寧に作られています。

This Chashaku is absolutely stunning and will likely only increase in value as they become harder to source. How they achieve this finish is also very interesting and makes the experience of making your matcha feel even more special. It's also a great little conversation tidbit; "you know, to get this finish it takes over 100 years of..." etc. which will either leave your guests wide eyed and fascinated, or potentially guide them into a deep sleep. If it's the latter, that means more matcha for you. Both outcomes are a win.
