This mini-chawan, crafted in Japan in the traditional Minoyaki style, is absolutely fantastic, and the price is unbeatable. It's such a shame they've been out of stock for so long. I'd love to buy a few more in different colors. Sazen, please restock it soon!

As a beginner matcha appreciator, I found this bowl a rather exquisite piece of art. The sides of the bowl have a rough, almost sandpaper-like texture that ensures a good grip, while the round green shape seen on the pictures on the country is very smooth. Overall it's very pleasant to hold in hand and drink from. Interestingly enough, I found that with my particular bowl as I pour in the water it will touch the edge of that round green shape exactly when I've poured in 80ml, which makes it perfect for making usucha. I'm not sure if all bowls are like this, but it saves me a lot of time. For its price, I'm confident there's hardly a better bowl out there.
