Amazing chasen, whisks amazingly well and creates very creamy foam compared to cheap non-Takayama Chasen. Definitely get this if you want to level up your foam if you're still not using Takayama chasen!

Update to my previous review- Sazen sent me instructions on how to remove the glue and they worked perfectly, so that problem solved. The quality also appears to be very good and the wood has held up well. The best part is how well it actually whisks. Less than half the effort required to get a good froth compared to my other whisk.

Not what I was expecting. The whisk is glued to the box, and the glue can’t easily be removed from the chasen. The body is also cracked half way up the base. The individual “fingers” are thinner on the ends and seem very brittle, with the inner set having fine hairs of fiber falling out right out of the box. The cheap chasen I ordered from the USA seems to be better made.
