Not only is this Chasen beautiful it also does a very good job of whisking, much better than the cheap Chinese ones more readily available. It is a full-size chasen so make sure your bowl is big enough to comfortably use it.

I study Japanese tea ceremony and I recommend this chasen to all the matcha lovers! The strings are thin and soft but surprisingly resistant. It's easy to handle and clean and, most of all, I could make an extraordinary frothy foam! The dark color of bamboo makes it really elegant as well.

This is a really nice black bamboo tea whisk. The 'bristles' are softer than the whisks I'm used to using but its very easy to use and makes a delicious bowl of matcha with a very thick foam.
