宇治茶の老舗、碧翆園 濃茶 紫苑
紫苑は非常にフルボディでビロードのようで、贅沢な味が凝縮された抹茶です。 クリーミーな味わい、わずかに甘く、はっきりとした味は、飲んだ後も長く口中に残ります。 下のランクの下天鼓に比して、その風味の世界を、はるかに濃縮された特徴的な形で提示します。濃茶がメインですが、薄茶にしてもとても美味しいです。 その繊細な香りは本当にリフレッシュできます。
茶銘「紫苑」：
「紫苑」は本来「しおん」と呼びますが、碧翆園の紫苑は、「しえん」と読みます。
「紫苑」は、今昔物語の中で「思い草」の名で登場します。碧翆園の煎茶の茶銘の中には、古典である源氏物語から引用したものもあることから、おそらく「紫苑」という茶銘も、古典である今昔物語から拝借した名前である可能性が高いといえます。

Finnaly i finished my tin. Overall, it's very smooth as a thick tea. If you make it into a thin tea, it's a bit mild or rather very mild. I like mine 4g but with an extra bit of water about 80ml to 100ml. It works well for me. However it is lovely as a thick tea for those who likes it's thick. It's just everything you imagine it to be so I'm not going to describe it. You won't regret trying this goodie.

As the water breaks the surface of the matcha, a wonderful sweet scent filled the air. Not as fragrant as the samidori but good enough for me. I got sweet seaweed with a hint of salt. As a thick tea, it was creamy, heavy, bold, sweet with a hint of floral notes. It had a long and pleasant finish. This is subjective, that I did not get much bitterness, and it wasn't dry to the palate. As a thin tea, it was creamy, soft, mellow, subtle and clean. However I prefer it slightly stronger or as a thick tea.
