Product as described and of really high quality. I chose this one because 64 strings version is suitable for both Matcha styles and this is exactly what I was looking for. I also ordered a Kusenaoshi and everything fits together perfectly, I'm very satisfied. I am already after my first use of this chasen, as I received a sample of Ogurayama Matcha with my order which also impressed me and perhaps I will choose it for my next order.

Attached another photo of this beautiful Chasen on a whisk stand + compared it to the Chinese knockoff that usually the only whisk you will ever see in EU tea stores. Compare the size, the look, and functionally and you will understand why it costs x3 times of the Chinese knockoff. It gives a totally different experience when using it! Also, if you ever buy the stand keep in mind that it fits this Chasen perfectly! The one on the photo is the standard size.

My first Japanese Chasen. I chose this one because 64 strings version is suitable for both Matcha styles. Whisking is easy, surprisingly pleasant (compared to the Chinese knockoff), strings are soft so be careful not to touch the surface while using. I like the overall design of this dark old bamboo and it’s unique antique patina.
