Kukicha Green Tea
Kukicha (or Karigane), also known as 'Twig tea' is made of a mixture of tea leaves and stems. It has flavor characteristics of both a slight creaminess and mild bitterness. It can also have a sweet aftertaste, an earthy 'green' aftertaste, or a distinct nuttiness, depending on whether the tea used was grown in the shade or the direct sunlight. Kukicha contains more vitamin C than other types of green tea.
