1. Put 5 g of tea leaves into a Japanese teapot.
2. Cool boiled water down to 85℃ and pour it into the teapot.
3. Steep for about 30 seconds and pour an equal amount of tea into each cup.
You can use the same tea leaves twice, but make sure you steep the leaves shorter, about 5-10 seconds.
This is how we recommend brewing this tea, but we all have our preferences, so try experimenting to find the way you like it the best.

This review is for the spring 2025 harvest. I have never tried Shincha before and I decided to try this one. Comparing it to the others this seemed to have a good quality to price ratio. The first infusion I made in a kyusu according to the recommendation here: 5g, 85oC, 150ml water for 30s. Aroma was fresh, taste was really pleasant sweet greenness. No bitterness or unpleasant astringency. Then I did a couple more infusions keeping the same water volume and temperature: second infusion for 10s, then 20s, then 30s, then 2min. Taste gradually mellowed but I wanted to get the most out of the leaves. Overall I'm really happy with this tea!
