Ohmi Tokujo Kabuse Yanagicha

Japanese green tea with a popular refreshing flavor

Ohmi Tokujo Kabuse Yanagicha Ohmi Tokujo Kabuse Yanagicha Ohmi Tokujo Kabuse Yanagicha Ohmi Tokujo Kabuse Yanagicha Ohmi Tokujo Kabuse Yanagicha

Aerfreshing and verdant green tea for your everyday Japanese tea sessions.

Kabusecha is a variety of Japanese green tea that is grown under partial shade prior to harvesting. The term "kabusecha" translates to "covered tea" or "shaded tea." Kabusecha is a versatile tea, you could say it’s a little bit of everything in one cup. It has the rich, brothy depth of gyokuro and can even be brewed like one. But as you steep it a second or third time, it transforms, revealing the fresh, vibrant character of unshaded sencha.

Very refreshing, has a mild flavor but carries some nice umami notes. Amazing daily drinker, gives a cooling sensation. Very nice for this price!

Amazing for the price! The green tea isn't bitter in the slightest, and it had a nice soupy and umami flavor. The leaves also smell heavenly, so I'm sure to buy more next time around.

Smooth yet refreshing taste with no bitterness. Looks like gyokuro but has a lighter taste. When opening the bag there was a very fresh scent I didn't expect this late in the year (this has been true for every tea I've purchased from this site). It's hard to believe they can sell this quality for such a low price.

Quite surprised by the flavour profile, for the price. Quite a savoury tea and not astringent. Must try!
