Hand-painted bamboo tea scoop from Yamanaka lacquerware
Handmade and hand-painted chashaku made of bamboo, plated with silver.
The chashaku is decorated with motifs of flowing water and green maple leaves, beloved symbols of late spring and summer in Japan.
Our last two pieces have small flaws so we offer them at a 15% discount. Please refer to the photos.
A) There is discoloration on the head.
B) The carving of the chashaku is slightly asymmetrical, with one side being a little thicker than the other. This does not affect its functionality. It remains stable when resting on both the natsume and the chawan.
The tea scoop comes in a stylish paper box.

Handling precautions
Cleaning:
After use, some matcha powder might stick to the scoop. To clean it, always use a dry soft cloth. Bamboo is extremely sensitive to moisture. If you clean it with a wet cloth, the water and the matcha powder seep into the material and damage it. Make sure you keep it dry!
Do not expose it to direct sunlight for too long!
