HOW TO PREPARE
STEP 1) Put 2g (0.4 US tsp, 1 teaspoon or 2 chashaku scoop) matcha powder into a suitable tea bowl.
STEP 2) Pour 75 ml (2.4 fl oz) 85℃ (185°F) water over the matcha powder.
STEP 3) Whisk with a chasen (tea whisk) until foamy.
❖ Before Step 1, warm up the tea bowl with hot water, then dry it with a cloth to create the perfect temperature so make the most delicious matcha with a fresh scent while preparing. (Optional)
❖ To prevent clotting of the matcha powder, sift it through a fine strainer before use. (Strongly recommended)
❖ After the matcha is done, drink it immediately, because as it cools down it gets more and more bitter. (Recommended)
❖ Freshness is the most important thing for the enjoyment of Matcha. It is best to use up the tea within one month of opening. (Strongly recommended)

I would like to preface this by saying I'm new to matcha so I'm not super familiar with all the flavors and I'm mostly just looking for what I think tastes good. When first opening, it was very fragrant and smelled really really good, and also had a beautiful green color. To me, this matcha is very nice as an usucha and still good even as a latte with oat milk. It's very nice tasting with the right balance of bitterness and matcha flavour. It tastes like what I would think good matcha tastes like if I hadn't had matcha before. That said, I don't get any specific flavour notes that stand out to me. It's more just a bit of everything; a hint of nuttiness, a hint of umami, some bitterness and a bit of sweetness. It's mostly just an overall nice "matcha" flavor that is still noticeable even after mixing with oat milk. I personally wouldn't get this one again, but only because I don't think anything specific about the flavour stood out to me and I'm trying to be a bit more experimental with flavours. But, it's definitely a solid one worth trying if you aren't looking for anything that skews too much in one direction for flavor profile, or if you are looking for a "safer" matcha to try that doesn't have any unpleasant notes with or without milk.

As an enjoyer of iced matcha lattes, this matcha provided the perfect balance of umami, sweetness, and bitterness for me. It has a great bold flavor that doesn't get overpowered by milk and pairs well with a touch of sweetness. Nice and creamy as well. As an usucha, the flavors are smooth and well rounded. I ordered this in a 40g can but will be reordering in 100g quantity because I enjoyed it so much!
