High content of gamma-Aminobutyric and suitable for making usucha
This special matcha was named after an amino acid called GABA (γ-amino butyric acid), a major neurotransmitter of the human central nervous system. This compound is likewise present in other teas. Thanks to a natural processing procedure developed by the National Institute of Vegetable and Tea Science, however, Gabaron matcha is far richer in GABA than are other varieties - the effect of this tea is more than 10 times stronger than that of usual Matcha. Gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) acts as a blood pressure control. Its daily consumption helps burn fat and has a beneficial effect on blood pressure or stress issues.
Its taste is very different than that of other matcha teas. It has quite a distinct character, albeit free of bitter or unpleasant tart notes.

Been drinking this daily for a few weeks now and I've now got used to the taste! It's slightly different to the Matcha I normally drink, more astringent and with a slight bitter taste (which personally, I enjoy). I prefer to take this Matcha with a drop of Maple Syrup to give it some sweetness. I prefer drinking this as a thin tea, not a thick tea - it's not as versatile as the more expensive Matcha's hence scoring 4 stars.
