Murasaki Mishima Idogata Chawan
Matcha tea bowl inlaid with floral motifs
Made by the 3rd Touraku, Hideo Morisato, Kiyomizuyaki artist.
Touraku has been working with only Mishimade technique (Incaic inlaid motifs). Murasaki Mishima is a special technique he developed. The name comes from the color of the clay.
The systematically, regularly placed prints are made with ceramic stamps and form a unique design. Other than the inlaid motifs there are characteristic "Ukihanamon" - "bulging flower" patterns painted with white "Deisho" mud.
Shipped with a signed wooden box by the Master.
