Premium Japanese sweets to matcha in 3 flavors
A unique and exquisite dessert from Kyoto, traditionally served with matcha. Besides its sophisticated and delicious flavors, the kohaku's curiosity lies in its exciting texture: crunchy on the outside but delicate and jelly-like on the inside.
You can choose from three different flavors.
1) Matcha Kohaku
Flavored with Uji Matcha powder and filled with azuki beans, it is the most characteristic of the three kinds we offer. The tea flavor is forward but mellow.
Ingredients: Amanatto (Azuki Bean, Refined Sugar, Starch Syrup), Sugar, Sweetener (Mizuame), Agar, Matcha Paste, Vegetable Oil, Emulsifier
2) Hana Kohaku Otebo
Filled with white beans, this one is creamily sweet. A perfect accompaniment for edgier matcha.
Ingredients: Amanatto (White Bean, Refined Sugar, Starch Syrup), Sugar, Sweetener (Mizuame), Agar
3) Hana Kohaku Dainagon
Filled with azuki beans, it is sweet, and mellow with a characteristic, delicious, azuki bean flavor.
Ingredients: Amanatto (Azuki Bean, Refined Sugar, Starch Syrup), Sugar, Sweetener (Mizuame), Agar

This is a pretty amazing sweet. The flavour is nice, not overwhelming and feels gentle. The texture is where it shines, and it works superbly well with sencha on the side.

This is one of the most satisfying traditional Japanese desserts I have tried so far. The type you try once and makes you crave it again and again. :) The texture, the sweetness, the looks, all so lovely and a perfect match for edgier matcha. My favorite is Otebo, I love the creamy, sweetness of white beans.
