Sweet and nutty gyokuro from Asamiya, Shiga Pref.
A single origin gyokuro from Saemidori cultivar.
TASTE NOTES
This medium-bodied gyokuro offers a sweet and nutty profile, beginning with a fruity aroma (with pineapple notes) and finishing with a lingering nuttiness. Notes of green peas blend seamlessly with a rich, satisfying umami. Thanks to a final roasting, it gains a dominant toasty character that makes it an overall relaxing and comforting tea.
With the second brew, fresher, greener notes emerge, accompanied by a pleasant, refreshing bitterness.
