Matcha blend to be served cold by Yamamasa Koyamaen
SUMMER EDITION
Uji matcha tea for making usucha (thin tea) on ice.
Matcha with a pleasantly refreshing, smooth, creamy flavor recommended to prepare with cold water.
When prepared hot, it gives a characteristically tart flavor, but as soon as poured over ice, the flavor is tamed and offers a sweet, delicious, dessert-like experience.
Available from the beginning of June until the end of August.
Origin: Kyoto Prefecture, Japan

STEP 4) Add ice.
HOT MATCHA
STEP 1) Warm up a tea bowl with hot water, then dry it with a cloth.
STEP 2) Put 2g (0.4 US tsp, 1 teaspoon, or 2 chashaku scoops) matcha powder into the bowl.
STEP 3) Pour 60-70 ml (2.4 fl oz) 80℃ (176°F) water over the matcha powder.
STEP 4) Whisk with a chasen (tea whisk) until foamy.
OPTIONAL: you can also put ice cubes into the ready hot matcha to enjoy it in a cold way.
❖ To prevent clotting of the matcha powder, sift it through a fine strainer before use. (Strongly recommended)
❖ Freshness is the most important thing for the enjoyment of Matcha. It is best to use up the tea within one month of opening. (Strongly recommended)

Nice matcha! I drink it on ice and it is very pleasant, creamy and refreshing. No bitter for me, I love it ♡

This matcha is sharp & tart with a grass-like smell. It becomes deep dark green color tea. It tastes like lower grade matcha for this price range. It should be blended with sencha to make a cold brew. Definitely not an usucha quality. I like the packaging design, but disappointing overall.
