Creamy and verdant green tea from the first harvest of the year, 2026 by Kanbayashi Shunsho
Shincha Hatsutsumi holds the second place in Kanbayashi Shunsho’s shincha lineup. While it offers less umami than the top-tier Kyonishiki, it charms with its sweetness and a surprising creaminess. This is a well-balanced tea, carrying a gentle, revitalizing energy.
This tea goes two steeps. The second infusion reveals a vegetal bitterness which is subtle and rounded, never sharp. For the second brew we recommend using the same water temperature (70°C) but reduce the steeping time to around 10 seconds.
Please note, that Sazen Tea does not keep this product in stock. We get all Kanbayashi Shunsho loose teas fresh from the factory only after an order is placed for it on our website, and this process can take a few days. Thank you for your patience!
