Omotesenke Endorsed Hekisuien Matcha
The Omote-senke is the main family of Sen families, succeeding the direct lineage of Rikyu. Sosa, the third son of Sotan, inherited the family estate and the tea-room Fushin-an as the heir when Sotan retired. Sosa took over the main family and became the founder of the Omote-senke school.
The Omote and Ura-senke schools are called, together with another school Mushanokoji-senke, the Sanzen-ke, the “three families” established by descendants of Rikyu.
