Maruyasu
Maruyasu Tea was founded in 1872 by Yasuyoshi Maeno in Tsuchiyama, a historic post town along the Tōkaidō route in Shiga Prefecture. Originally serving travelers with fragrant local teas, the company grew alongside Japan’s tea culture, expanding its reach to the Kanto region and beyond. Over the decades, Maruyasu modernized its production facilities, allowing full in-house processing from raw leaves to finished products. Today, under the leadership of a Japanese Tea Master, the company blends tradition with innovation delivering high-quality teas. Maruyasu’s mission is to share the rich flavor and heritage of Ōmi tea with both local and global communities.
