Premium green tea from Shiga Prefecture
To represent the best teas from the region, the Kansai Tea Competition is organized every September. All competitive grade teas from Kansai area are displayed, savored and evaluated here. This tea won the prestigious 3rd prize reaching 180 points out of 200.
TASTE NOTES
Competitive teas must stand out in every aspect—from appearance to aroma to flavor—and this one truly does. The leaves are beautifully processed, and the aroma tells the tale immediately: gently toasty yet vividly green, announcing a tea that rises well above the ordinary.
The flavor is rich in umami, blending warm, toasty peanut notes with the sweet, green character of edamame. The aftertaste lingers impressively, full of fresh vegetal tones and a subtle spiciness reminiscent of rucola.
The second infusion offers a gentler expression of the first: sweet and floral, with the delicate fruity hints of muscat.
