Premium White Tea with baked apple sweetness and nutty walnut notes
Silver Needle (Baihao Yinzhen) is the most renowned and highest-quality white tea produced in Fuding and Zhenghe, Fujian Province, with a history dating back to 1880. Only the finest, downy buds from the Da Bai cultivar are carefully hand-picked for its production. After harvesting, the buds are gently wilted and lightly fermented, then naturally dried, resulting in an extremely limited yield.
The tea buds are covered with delicate white fuzz and display a silvery sheen, resembling slender silver needles—hence the name Silver Needle. This Baihao Yinzhen is crafted from organically grown Da Bai cultivar tea plants cultivated in Fuding, Fujian Province.
TASTING NOTES
Bao Hao Yinzhen is a delightful surprise with its bold yet raw character in the first infusion. The aroma opens with notes of baked apple and gentle spice. In the flavor, comforting baked apple and apple pie flavors take the lead, joined by soft woodsiness and a sweet, nutty hint reminiscent of walnuts. Subtle dried fruit notes weave through the experience.
As the infusions progress, the tea softens and becomes mellower, with sweet pear notes and an elegant, rounded profile. In the final infusions, there is a light citrus tingle and a refreshing minty touch.
The liquor has a silky, lightly oily texture and a beautiful opal light-green color.
Brewing suggestions:
Bao Hao Yinzhen has beautiful leaves, and watching them slowly open is a true delight. You can use glassware to fully appreciate their elegance.

STEP 1) Warm your teapot. Pour boiling water into a gaiwan or teapot, let it sit for a little while, then discard all the water.
STEP 2) Brew (no need to rinse this tea). Pour hot water on the tea leaves (about 85°C) and brew for 30 seconds.
STEP 4) Serve. Pour the tea into a pitcher, and then into cups.
STEP 5) Brew again.
❖ For the second infusion, steep it for about half the time of the first infusion. For every other infusion after that increase the steeping time (from the time of the first infusion).
❖ Make sure to open the lid of the teapot between infusions, to prevent the leaves from cooking.
❖ This is how we recommend brewing this tea, but we all have our preferences, so try experimenting to find the way you like it the most.
